The Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo (HMIK) has achieved a historic milestone by receiving SK EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 accreditation for the very first time!
Thanks to the ongoing commitment of KEPA and HMIK, Kosovo’s water quality monitoring system is more advanced and closer to the European standards.
This accomplishment was supported by the Integrated Water Resources Management in Kosovo (IWRM-K) Program, which provided essential assistance in staffing, equipment, capacity building, and hands-on expertise during the accreditation process.
This achievement marks an important step forward in strengthening water quality monitoring in Kosovo.
