The launch of the one day action took place at Dardania and Lakrishteneighbourhood was also attended by the President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga,Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi, the Deputy-Prime Minister Bujar Bukoshi, theMayor of Prishtina, Isa Mustafa, the Minister of Environment and SpatialPlanning, Dardan Gashi, the deputy-Minister Ilir Mirena, the Executive Chief ofKEPA, Ilir Morina, the Minister of Agriculture Blerand Stavileci,representatives of Lets Clean up Kosovo, other officials fromgovernment and Prishtina Municipality and hundreds of citizens.
According to the network Lets Clean up Kosovo thousands of citizens havejoined the action during the day in all 37 municipalities of Kosovo. Schools,NGO-s, authorities of local municipalities and other associations haveresponded positively by participating at the one day action to clean up Kosovo,initiated by the network Lets Clean Up Kosovo and helped by the Ministry ofEnvironment and Spatial Planning (MESP) and KEPA.
The action aims of encouraging the mobilization of all citizens, associationsand enterprises for waste and garbage collection in order to keep clean areasand help environment protection in our country.
Its the first time that Kosovo joins the worldwide initiative Lets Do itWorld initiated in Estonia in 2008.
